Odour Services International Ltd were invited to install a chemical scrubber for treatment of Ammonia from a lime cake facility at a existing sewage treatment plant. In addition OSIL upgraded the existing LavaRok® biofilter and installed a further treatment process of CuCarb® carbon filtration. The work was carried out with the existing odour control system operational, giving minimum disruption to the end user. The overall odour control facility gave enhanced treatment of site wide odours from various sources.
The system was designed to treat an airflow of 930 m³/h for the scrubber and 4278 m³/h total airflow for the LavaRok® biofilter and CuCarb® activated carbon polishing unit.
